What I Got For Christmas: Beauty Edition

gifts

Ah, here it is: another Christmas haul to fill your inbox.  But hold on a minute, this isn’t your usual rundown of Christmas morning gratuities- it’s the beauty edition!  I mean hear me out, why ask for toys for Christmas when you can ask for makeup? The holiday season is the faultless time to wish for those products that you've been dying to get your hands on.  According to Santa, I must've been on the nice list year! I asked and here's what he delivered…

John Frieda Wonder Drops Hair Mask

This hair treatment comes in four different nourishing masks.  Santa slipped me the frizz smoothing mask, ideal for my sometimes too-voluminous locks.  This specific mask realigns hair fibers in order to tame the mane. Use once a week in the shower for soft and renewed hair.

Color Street Nail Polish Strips

I am SO excited to try out these nail strips from Color Street!  This is a great way to achieve that flawless mani or pedi without breaking the bank, and without the damage that acrylic nails leave behind.  Simply peel off the clear plastic, fit to your nail, and file off the excess. Easy as that!

Pantene Detangling Milk and Butter-Créme Duo

Both of these argan oil enriched products are part of Pantene's new gold series.  Designed to tame and replenish naturally curly hair, these hair serums also work to keep straight hair straight.  Healthy hair, here I come!

Glossier Balm Dotcom Trio

I've had my eye on this brand for a while.  Lately, I've been into more natural makeup looks.  While the Balm Dotcom by Glossier can be used on the lips, it is actually a universal skin salve.  This means you can also use it on dry hands, elbows, etc. These balms come in various combinations of tinted and untinted, scented and unscented.  There is a combo for all your dry skin needs! I recommend the flavors birthday, coconut, and mint.

Kristin Ess Pivoting Curling Wand

I know this isn't exactly a makeup product, but what's an amazing makeup look without a stunning hairstyle to go with?  This Kristin Ess wand is my new favorite hair tool. If you want effortless beach waves in under ten minutes, this wand is for you.  Treat yourself with that cash you got for Christmas and pick up one of these wands (find it here!).  You'll thank me later.

Sunny Isle Eyelash and Eyebrow Growth Serum

This blend of Vitamin E and castor oil claims to show visible results in just three weeks.  After two uses, I could see a visible change in my lashes. They looked fuller and so much healthier!  This might be one of my new top tens in 2020… !

Scunci Spiral Ponies

Again these aren't really a beauty product.  However, these spiral ponies work wonders when you need to pull your hair back when applying makeup or putting on a face mask.  These scrunchies won’t dent your hair and (nine out of ten times) don’t get stuck in your hair. Plus, they make a super cute and trendy wrist accessory!

OLLY Undeniable Beauty Gummy Vitamins

These gummies are designed to protect the body's natural production of keratin.  This is what makes your nails and hair thick, strong, and healthy. Simply pop two of these grapefruit flavored gummies in a day!

(p.s. I saw you sneak that third one- and fourth one.  Even though they are super tasty, these are not a snack!)

I'm so grateful for not only everything I received this Christmas, but also for what I could give.  I hope you had a blessed and stress-free holiday, surrounded by those you love. All of us at DIY Makeup wish you a warm and promising new year!
