Sure you can load up on layers of mascara or try some dramatic falsies but with that comes the sacrifice of valued lash hairs. Try these steps to maximize your lashes full potential.
1. Castor Oil
Researchers argue that there is no evidence proving lash growth with castor oil but only the illusion of longer, fuller lashes. This fatty acid oil obtained by pressing the castor oil plant, conditions the lashes and prevents premature breakage, allowing for glossier and more luscious lashes. Arguably several online tutorials show significant growth results in a few days time… If you are cautious while you apply (making sure not to get in your eye) it won’t hurt to try. Don’t bat a lash! I use the one recommended below which comes with a mascara wand for safer application.
2. Black Seed Oil
Studies found that black seed oil or Nigella sativa is rich in anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer activities, which have been reported to aid with encephalomyelitis, diabetes, carcinogenesis, and asthma . Besides, black seed oil is used to combat infections and boost the immunity, which is suitable for dealing with some conditions such as headaches, nasal congestion, toothaches, allergies, diabetes, cold & flu, digestive and gastrointestinal problems, as well as hair and skin problems. Known for many beauty and health benefits. Black seed oil helps to promote hair growth by stimulating hair follicles. With caution, simply dab 1 drop of black seed oil using your index finger onto your eyebrows and eyelashes prior to hitting the bed. Consume 1 teaspoon at a time daily for maintained immune health.
3. Lengthening, Non-Toxic Mascara
Applying several coats of mascara is no doubt, the fastest solution to fuller, bat worthy lashes. The below recommended formula by Mineral Fusion is gentle, non irritating and has a full bristle brush that visibly lifts and elongates lashes.
4. Eyelash Curler
With proper care and technique, an eyelash curler can top off your dramatic makeup look or be the only solution you need for a no-makeup day. The proper tool and gentleness will ensure your lashes do not get pulled or pinched. A durable, effective curler that suits most eye shapes is the Tweezerman Great Grip Curler below.
5. Eyelash Comb
To complete the look, after curling your lashes and applying mascara, use an eyelash comb to separate and add additional lift. It is my absolute favorite tip to elevate your lashes. The Tweezerman Comb below is perfect to remove any clumps for flawless lashes.
